Banned Books Week 2025: Censorship is so 1984. Read for Your Rights.

Celebrate the freedom to read with Washoe County Library and visit a Banned Books Week display from October 5 through October 11, 2025.

Visit the library this October for special programming and activities just for teens!

From June 1–July 31, participants of all ages can log their reading, participate in fun activities, and earn free books.

The Spanish Springs Library will celebrate 20 years of service with an anniversary party this Sunday, May 18, at 2 pm.

Join us on Tuesday, April 8, at 10 am at the Board of County Commissioners meeting, for a proclamation in honor of National Library Week.
