Washoe County offers ‘Budget 101’ event for understanding county budget

Washoe County invites everyone to a “Budget 101” event at the County Administrative Complex on July 21. This is the second year the county has held an in-depth workshop for the public to understand the county budget. This event will provide an introductory look at funding sources and expenditures, and will provide a how-to demonstration of the online Washoe Checkbook.  

Assessor to hold training sessions for filing business Personal Property Declaration

Washoe County Assessor Chris Sarman reminds residents that the deadline to file business personal property declaration is July 31, 2026. The Assessor’s Office will be offering training sessions on how to properly file your declaration beginning tomorrow, July 9.

Registrar of Voters to begin post-Primary Election voter list maintenance efforts

The Washoe County Registrar of Voters Office announced today that it will mail approximately 19,500 address confirmation cards over the holiday weekend to voters identified for the inactivation process through returned undeliverable mail or by the Electronic Registration Information Center, or ERIC, program.
