Washoe County launches new Behavioral Health fund

Washoe County has launched a new community fund to support regional behavioral health initiatives as directed by the Board of County Commissioners as part of its strategic planning. Behavioral health comprises mental health and drug use disorders, and is a driving factor of homelessness, chronic community health issues, and law enforcement challenges.

Washoe County property taxes due March 3, 2025

Washoe County Treasurer Justin Taylor reminds property owners that Monday, March 3, is the due date for the fourth installment of 2024/25 property taxes. Payments will be accepted without penalty through Thursday, March 13, 2025.

Washoe County offices will be closed for Presidents’ Day

Most Washoe County offices will be closed Monday, February 17, in observance of Presidents’ Day. Presidents’ Day is observed the third Monday of February to honor President George Washington’s birthday (February 22), and President Abraham Lincoln’s birthday (February 12).

Washoe County launches video streaming app

Washoe County has launched a new video streaming app in its efforts to make public meetings more accessible to residents. The app is available on Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime Video. The county’s live broadcast channel on Charter will no longer be supported.
