Washoe County’s Second Judicial District Court Celebrates 2019 Flag Day

Reno, Nev. June 10, 2019.  The Second Judicial District Court (SJDC), in partnership with the U.S. District Court, will be hosting the 3rd annual Flag Day at the Courthouse on June 14, 2019.  In addition to annual festivities, this year the District Court will incorporate a naturalization ceremony into the program. 
Local, state and federal officials will lead a traditional hometown celebration to welcome 50 new U.S. citizens.
The SJDC is pleased to announce U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto as the Keynote Speaker, including other guest speakers District Court Chief Judge Scott Freeman, U.S. Magistrate Judge William Cobb and District Court Judge Barry Breslow.
Worn flags will be collected for retirement during the event.

When: Friday, June 14, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., reception and refreshments to follow.
Media: Interviews with elected officials and local leaders will be available at the event from 2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
