Washoe County Regional Animal Services (WCRAS) is accepting applications from Washoe County residents who are interested in serving on the Washoe County Regional Animal Services Advisory Board.

Membership Detail

The Regional Animal Services Advisory Board was adopted by the Washoe County Board of Commissioners in 2016 with the purpose of facilitating communication between community members and WCRAS to ensure that programs, operations and goals related to the care and safety of animals are consistent with the needs of our community.

Currently, there are two upcoming vacancies to be filled on the Regional Animal Services Advisory Board:

The ideal Regional Animal Services Advisory Board member will commit to up to five hours per quarter, preparing for and attending quarterly advisory board meetings as well as any special meetings deemed necessary. Board members serve in a voluntary capacity.

Applications are being accepted between April 12 and May 14, 2021. More information and applications can be found under citizen involvement on the Washoe County website
