The Washoe County Public Guardian’s Office works with some of the most vulnerable citizens in our community at a point where they need the biggest helping hand. This holiday season, Public Guardian Tracey Bowles is collecting blankets to show her clients that they are “Wrapped in Love.”

“Our clients need assistance to manage their personal or financial affairs and are ordered by a court to have our office make many of their decisions when they don’t have friends or family able to help, and that can be a very lonely place to be,” Bowles said. “We wanted them to feel ‘Wrapped in Love’ this holiday season and have special item to feel cozy, remembered, and loved.”

Bowles and her staff are collecting donations of new blankets that can be dropped off at their office at 2265 Green Vista Drive, Suite 405, in Sparks between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until December 15.

The Public Guardian also has an Amazon Wish List to make purchasing and delivery effortless. Your purchase will be delivered directly to the Public Guardian’s Office. They are at about 35 percent of their goal of 240 blankets.
