Serving Seniors: Free Vaccination and Microchip Clinic for pet owners age 60 and older

Reno, Nev. March 4, 2020. Washoe County Regional Animal Services (WCRAS) is serving seniors by holding a Free Vaccination and Microchip Clinic for pet owners age 60 and over with a Nevada ID, at Washoe County Human Services Agency on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Free vaccinations, microchips and first time licenses are available.

WHAT: Free vaccinations, microchips and (first-time) licensing clinic hosted by WCRAS. License renewals are $8.00.
WHEN: Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 
WHERE: Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, 1350 N. Wells Ave, Reno 89512, in the Pavilion.

WCRAS staff and contract veterinarian will be on-site to provide vaccinations and microchipping for the pets of seniors in Washoe County. Core vaccinations being offered are: Canine Distemper/Parvo and Rabies vaccinations and Canine Bordetella (kennel cough) booster vaccination is $20.00.and Feline FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations are $10.00. Dog license renewals will be $8.00.  Per Washoe County Code, Chapter 55.390, no more than three dogs and seven cats are permitted per residence without a variance permit.  Please do not bring your dog on a retractable leash and all cats must be in a cat carrier.
Dogs over four months of age are required to be licensed and WCRAS will provide the first license for free.  If it is not a first time license, renewal licenses are $8.00 for seniors.
