Washoe County Regional Animal Services (WCRAS) is in need of enrichment resources for the shelter animals during their stay at the shelter.
“Enrichment for dogs and cats helps to decrease stress and illness and promotes adoptability,” Shyanne Schull, director of Regional Animal Services, said. “Enrichment is not a replacement for a loving, permanent home but rather a process for improving the mental and physical well-being of animals that are temporarily in a shelter environment.”
WCRAS has a list of needed items on its website that can be purchased at most pet supply retailers and delivered to WCRAS. Monetary donations can also be made online or mailed to WCRAS. Donors who contribute between Dec. 9-23, 2020, will be entered into a drawing for a Roomba 675 Robot Vacuum!
