Volunteers needed for Spring Cleanup Day at the Wilbur D. May Arboretum

Reno, Nevada. March 29, 2016. Volunteers are invited to attend the annual Keep it Clean and Green event at the Wilbur D. May Arboretum at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park on April 9.
Join the May Arboretum staff, May Arboretum Society and Arboretum volunteers, Rail City Garden Center and News Talk 780 KKOH for the Volunteer Spring Cleanup Day. It’s open to all ages and is important for the thousands of visitors who view the County’s public garden every year.
“This is a gorgeous, community garden that we should all take pride in,” Washoe County Chair Kitty Jung said. “I encourage everyone to come out, roll up their sleeves and have some fun in the great outdoors for a good cause.”

Where: Wilbur D. May Arboretum, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, 1595 N. Sierra St., Reno
When: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016
Details: An all age, volunteer event with hands-on work throughout the County’s public garden.

May Arboretum and Botanical Garden is a living museum and active educational resource, illustrating how plant life adapts and survives in the rugged climate between the Sierra Nevada and Great Basin. The Arboretum is located in Rancho San Rafael Regional Park and is operated and managed by Washoe County through its Community Services Department.
