by | Apr 1, 2016

Reno, Nevada. April 1, 2016. Washoe County’s Link Piazzo Dog Park and the main entrance at Bartley Ranch Regional Park will close Monday, April 4, 2016.
Link Piazzo Dog Park will temporarily close for seasonal turf maintenance from Monday, April 4 through Sunday, April 24, 2016. The dog park will reopen at 8 a.m., on Monday, April 25. Both the large and small dog areas will be closed during the three week period. Seasonal turf maintenance at the dog park takes place every spring and fall in order to keep the lawn areas healthy and the dog park in the best possible condition. The closure is only temporary and can also provide an opportunity for people and their pets to find new places within the Truckee Meadows and surrounding areas to enjoy.
Other off-leash options include:

Whitaker Park Dog Park, 550 University Terrace, Reno, NV 89503
Sparks Marina Park Dog Park, 300 Howard Dr., Sparks, Nevada 89434
Rancho San Rafael Regional Park pasture, 1595 North Sierra St., Reno, NV 89503

In addition, the main entrance at Bartley Ranch Regional Park, at 6000 Bartley Ranch Road, will be temporarily closed from Monday, April 4 through Saturday, April 30, 2016, due to construction on the entrance bridge. Pedestrian access to the park will remain, but all vehicular traffic should enter the park from Lakeside Dr. which is just east of Evans Creek Dr. and north of Windy Hill. (See Map Here)
Gradex Construction Company will be replacing aging timber on the bridge as part of Washoe County’s dedication to infrastructure preservation throughout its park system.
