Say hello to fall at Washoe County’s Rancho San Rafael Regional Park

by | Aug 26, 2015

Reno, Nevada. Aug. 26, 2015. Rancho San Rafael Regional Park presents its newest exhibit: “Farewell to Summer and Welcome Fall.” This photographic homage to amazing events that herald late summer in the Truckee Meadows is now on display at the Rancho San Rafael Regional Park Visitor Center through Oct. 1, 2015, daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During this gorgeous late summer season, Washoe County is full of excitement and anticipation as residents and visitors alike look forward to the Great Reno Balloon Race and the National Championship Air Races.
This exhibit is curated by local photographer, Kevin Eccles, who has lived in northern Nevada since 1985 and has spent those years touring western states practicing his craft. He volunteered at the National Championship Air Races for the past 5 years as a pylon judge and always captures spectacular images of racing aircraft.
He also attends the Great Reno Balloon Race. A more tranquil event, Eccles enjoys the slower pace and recording the beauty of the event on film. For more details about the pieces, please contact Kevin Eccles with questions or comments at kgeccles@outlook.com. For more details about the park, please contact Park Ranger, Marie Fong, at 775.7853.4512 or mfong@washoecounty.us.
