Reno, Nevada. Sept. 4, 2018. The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has taken custody of the 2 deceased individuals involved in a plane crash that occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018 near Washoe Valley, that sparked the Slide Fire. Autopsies will be performed on each of the crash victims.
The names of the deceased are currently being withheld pending positive identification and notification of next-of-kin. As soon as both decedents are identified, an announcement will be issued releasing the names.
