Reno, Nev. Sept. 10, 2018. The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified the two deceased individuals involved in a glider aircraft crash that occurred on September 2, 2018 near Washoe Valley, that sparked the Slide Fire.
Sergio Colacevich, 80, of Carmichael, California and James Alton, 60, of San Ramon, California were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and were later identified by dental comparison.
Autopsies were performed on September 4. The cause of death for both men has not yet been determined.
