The annual Silver State Grant Conference returns to Reno Feb. 13-14, 2025, at the Peppermill Resort Casino, hosted by Washoe County’s Community Reinvestment team.
This conference draws attendees from Nevada, California, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, and other western states in both the public and private sectors to learn the latest about grant writing, grant awards, and grant applications.
Attendees will be able to choose from more than a dozen breakout sessions over the two-day conference, ranging from “The Anatomy of a Grant Application” to “A Crash Course in Purchasing with Grant Funds.” Other sessions include:
- Innovating Federal Funding Access: Nevada’s Grant Matching Program and the Role of Philanthropy
- Assessing Grant Readiness
- Collaborating Across Agencies to Seek Federal Funds for Substance Use Disorders

The keynote speaker will be announced in January, and more programming is being added to the already robust lineup of speakers and workshops.
Early-bird registration of $200 ends December 31, and the price will then go up to $275, so be sure to register before the end of the year. Registration includes all educational sessions, meals, and a Thursday evening kickoff reception.
