District Court filing unavailable as it transitions to new case management system

The Second Judicial District Court will be transitioning to a new case management system beginning May 1. With this transition, the court will be generally unable to accept filings from April 30 at 6 p.m. through May 4 at 8 a.m., either in-person or through the Court’s electronic filing system. Applications for protection against domestic violence will continue to be processed.

Filing and case look-up unavailable April 30-May 4 

  • Both electronic and in-person filing will be unavailable on May 1. For the purposes of deadlines only, any documents due on May 1 will be deemed timely if filed by May 4.  No payments will be accepted during this time. 
  • eFlex will be unavailable due to system maintenance. 
  • All draft filings must be completed and submitted prior to 6 p.m. on April 30. Any draft filings not completed and submitted by the deadline will be unavailable for future use and must be restarted. Any users remaining in eFlex at 6 p.m. on April 30 will be removed from the system. 
  • Counsel shall provide a courtesy copy of any document filed on Thursday, April 30, that relates to any hearing occurring during the week of May 4. Courtesy copies can be dropped off at the Court Resource Center on the third floor of 1 South Sierra St. 
  • The District Court’s case search feature will be unavailable due to system maintenance. This outage will also prevent the District Court Resource Center and Washoe County Law Library from being able to provide case-specific information. 

District Court Resource Center partial closure  

The District Court’s Resource Center will be partially closed on Friday, May 1. Staff will be unable to file documents, take payments, or provide case-specific information during this closure.
