Washoe County Emergency Management and the Nevada Division of Emergency Management are asking residents affected by the Davis Fire to provide information on the damage sustained to their property. This will help local and state authorities calculate the overall impact of the fire to the community.
Using a FEMA-approved tool called Survey123, residents are asked to self-report any damage to their residential, business, or property. The damage can be directly from the fire or from the firefighting efforts. At least one photo is required, and up to four photos are accepted.
The survey is for information only, and is not a guarantee of assistance or repairs, and it is not associated with insurance claims.
Washoe County Emergency Management is performing damage assessment and has a recorded the total loss of 14 homes.
For information on the fire and firefighting efforts, visit the National Forest InciWeb page here. The tool is available here and is responsive on desktop and mobile devices. Residents are encouraged to fill out the survey as soon as possible, and the survey will conclude on October 15, 2024.
