by | Feb 16, 2017

Reno, Nevada. Feb. 16, 2017. Washoe County is warning citizens about a scam involving an individual claiming they represent Washoe County. Citizens report that they are receiving messages via mail and phone claiming a lien has been placed on the citizen’s property and that a payment must be made to settle the debt.
The Treasurer’s Office accepts no payments over the phone.  Citizens can always check their property tax status online at www.washoecounty.us/treas or call the Treasurer’s Office at 775-328-2510.
