Free microchipping and low-cost vaccination clinic for pets

Reno, Nevada. Sept. 23, 2015. Washoe County Regional Animal Services is holding a low-cost vaccination and licensing clinic at the Scolari’s in Sun Valley to provide free microchips, low-cost vaccinations and licenses for pets.

The Parvo virus is deadly in our pet population. By offering a low-cost alternative to pet owners, Regional Animal Services can help to reduce disease in our pet population. This clinic is designed to provide necessary resources to citizens and assess the health of our pet population.  
Regional Animal Services will be providing dog and cat vaccinations to the Sun Valley community for $10 per vaccination.
Additionally, a license will be issued with each rabies vaccination. Licenses are $8 for a spayed or neutered dog and $20 for those that are not.
Free microchips will also be offered which helps to identify your pet and provide proof of ownership.
“Animal Services is committed to the welfare of our community as well as the animals that play such an important role in our lives,” said Animal Services Director Shyanne Schull.
