Washoe County Department of Alternative Sentencing receives grant to reduce drunken driving
The Washoe County Department of Alternative Sentencing was awarded a $67,000 grant from the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety. The funds will support ongoing efforts in reducing drunken driving recidivism as well as providing greater access to justice for clients.
Washoe County receives accolades for Green Recovery Plan
Washoe County's Green Recovery Plan was developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to address the physical, mental, and economic health of residents. The plan integrates disaster risk reduction measures into the revitalization of livelihoods and economies. The plan also incorporates lessons learned from the pandemic to better prepare for similar challenges in the future.
