Reminder that property owners owe first installment of property taxes.
Washoe County Assessor Chris Sarman reminds property owners to verify the tax cap status on their property. This can be done by checking a parcel number, address, or ownership on the Washoe County Assessor’s website at the website below. Additional sources for verification include valuation notices, tax bills, or simply calling the Assessor’s Office.
The Assessor’s Office reminds exemption holders that in order to apply the exemption toward real property taxes, the renewal must be filed with the Assessor’s office by June 15, 2025.
Taxpayers can expect that our office will be performing a thorough review of all properties within and around the fire perimeter. To assist in this process, we ask that affected property owners please contact our office as soon as possible.
