Washoe County and EmployNV’s No-Cost Career Fair Rescheduled for October 22

by | Oct 6, 2026

Washoe County, in partnership with EmployNV, Nevada’s public workforce system, has rescheduled its no-cost career fair for Thursday, October 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, located at 4590 South Virginia Street in Reno, Nevada. The free event will connect job seekers with more than 100 employers, resources from across northern Nevada and hundreds of available jobs. The event is free and open to the public.

Participating employers will represent a wide range of industries, organizations, job types and experience levels. Interview space will be available, giving employers the opportunity to meet with qualified candidates on-site and potentially extend job offers that day.

In addition to exploring employment opportunities, EmployNV will be on-site to offer attendees career coaching, résumé-writing guidance and interview support. Job seekers can also learn about free job training programs, employment-related financial assistance, and specialized career guidance and resources for people with disabilities. Attendees are encouraged to bring several copies of their résumé and come prepared to interview.

“We appreciate the community’s understanding following the necessary rescheduling process following the devastating Hawk Fire,” Washoe County Commission Chair Clara Andriola said. “I’d like to thank all of the employers who have been beyond accomodating and who are just as eager to connect with qualified candidates at what we expect will be the biggest job fair to date in the county. I’m equally excited for candidates, who will have unprecedented access to hiring teams and high-quality jobs at this event.”

Participating employers include Tesla Motors, Panasonic Energy of North America, Redwood Materials, FedEx Freight, Washoe County School District, the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority and Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, among many others. The employer lineup represents opportunities across manufacturing, logistics, education, health care, public service and other leading regional industries.

Community organizations, including United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra, Access to Healthcare Network, SilverSummit Healthplan, and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, are also expected to participate and share information about a variety of resources available to job seekers and their families.

“It’s not a secret that today’s economy is challenging, but there is a broad range of employers with numerous openings who can offer a hand up to those who are ready to make a career shift or start their next chapter,” said John Parel, deputy administrator for workforce at the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation. “It’s amazing to see this community coming together to provide so many qualified candidates access to local businesses that can employ them as we support workforce growth in Washoe County and across the state.”
