Washoe County Regional Parks & Open Space is pleased to announce the 16th Annual Lazy 5 Summer Music Series of 2021. After the 2020 music series was canceled due to COVID-19, residents of the Spanish Springs, Sparks, and Reno area are eager to gather once again in the beautiful Lazy 5 Regional Park Wednesday evenings to get their summer groove on under the shade of elm trees alongside their neighbors.
This year’s series includes 10 concerts featuring 10 diverse local artists from June 23 – August 25 (6:30-8:00 p.m.). The July performances, including Nevada 445, Nick Eng, Margret’s Funk Band, and Arizona Jones will be a part of Artown 2021. Thanks to many generous local business sponsors, including Toll Brothers and Hammer’s Healthy Hounds, this music series is free to the public (no tickets required!).
The Lazy 5 Summer Music Series features some of the best and up-and-coming original and cover bands from around the Reno/Tahoe area, showcasing a different musical genre each week. Food and drink will be available for purchase with a different local food truck and mobile pub present at every show. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring a blanket/chairs, a mask, and good vibes! As a reminder, pets, glass containers, and smoking will not be allowed at the event.
