Election Day concludes in Washoe County with initial results posted to the county’s website. The results include all in-person voting during early voting and Election Day, as well as all mail-in ballots received and processed up to Election Day.
Mail-in ballots dropped off at Vote Centers on Election Day and ballots that are delivered in the mail will be counted in the days to come. Ballots that were postmarked on or before Election Day and received within four days of Election Day will be accepted.
Of the votes cast so far, 43.89 percent were cast during Early Voting and 17.87 percent on Election Day.
Election staff will return at 8 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, to continue processing and counting mail-in ballots. The Registrar of Voters Office will post results once per day until the counting is complete. Nevada allows seven days after Election Day for counting. Results are only considered final after the canvass of the vote, which takes place on November 15.
