Civil Service: 2019 Bowers Mansion season goes out with a bang

Reno, Nev. October 10, 2019. Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space is proud to announce the Historic Bowers Mansion will wrap up the 2019 tour season with a bang, which includes a live Civil War Reenactment. Visitors will be transported to the days of Nevada’s statehood, enjoy the grounds and tours of the mansion.
WHAT: Civil War Reenactment at Bowers Mansion.
WHEN: Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
WHERE: Bowers Mansion at 4005 US Highway 395 North, Carson City, NV (Washoe Valley).
DETAILS: The ongoing Civil War exhibits and demonstrations are free. Self-guided tours of the historic Bowers Mansion will be available for $7 Adults, $5 Children & Seniors.

“The Nevada Civil War Volunteers (501c3) is a group of historical reenactors dedicated to preserving and sharing American history. Join us as we escort you back in time to get a glimpse of life during the Civil War,” said Rebecca Van Sickle, NCWV Civilian Chief of Staff.
