Reno, Nev. March 12, 2025. The Washoe County Human Services Agency (HSA) Senior Advisory Board is hosting a Senior Volunteer Fair Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at Caramella Ranch, to highlight several ways the community can enhance the quality of life in our community.
Volunteering provides opportunities to make new friends, learn valuable skills, advance your career, and even help someone live happier and healthier. We are looking for seniors who want to volunteer and anyone else who is interested in helping seniors through volunteering. The following areas are available to volunteer:
- Become a foster grandparent or big brother-big sister.
- Help on a hotline or as a peer counselor.
- Deliver meals to seniors.
- Build affordable housing.
- Help in a community garden.
- Support the arts.
- Provide companionship to a homebound senior.
