Reno, Nev. June 23, 2025. The Sparks Senior Center, located at 97 Richards Way, will be closed for approximately two weeks to replace the flooring. The center is scheduled to reopen the week of July 14, 2025.
During installation of new flooring at the Sparks Senior Center, Washoe County Senior Services will be serving those 60 and older “to go” meals, Monday through Friday, at 11:30 a.m., in the parking lot of the center. Those picking up a meal are encouraged to bring their meals to eat inside at Our Savior Lutheran Church for lunch, which is located next door, at 1900 First St., in Sparks.
The majority of activities provided for seniors will continue and be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church. A list of events is available on our website. The Sparks Senior Center and Our Savior Lutheran Church will be closed on the Fourth of July.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our seniors in Sparks, but replacement flooring is needed, and we want to make sure the center looks it’s best and doesn’t present any safety issues,” said HSA Senior Services Division Director Cara Paoli. “We expect the Sparks Senior Center to reopen in a couple of weeks.”
