Play Ball!

Reno, Nev. May, 20, 2022. The Washoe County Human Services Agency (HSA) and the University of Nevada Wolf Pack are partnering for the 2022 Have A Heart Baseball Game Saturday, May 21, 2022, in honor of May being National Foster Care Appreciation Month.

There are currently more than 700 Washoe County children in care. HSA Foster Care ensures the safety, permanency, and well-being of children who temporarily or permanently are not being cared for at home. HSA’s goal is to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing home until a child is able to return home or until a permanent home is found for the child.

“These games are a fun and creative way for the community to come together and support our foster families, cheer on the Wolf Pack, all while bringing a heightened awareness to the dire need for more people to foster and adopt,” said Washoe County HSA Director Amber Howell.

Those interested in fostering, adopting or mentoring, can email haveaheartinfo@washoecounty.gov, call HSA, at 775-337-4470, or check out our Have A Heart website.
