Reno, Nev. April 28, 2025. The Washoe County Human Services Agency (HSA) is excited to host this year’s Older Americans Month Information Fair at the National Automobile Museum on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., marking the beginning of a month-long celebration, offering more than 100 events for our valued Washoe County seniors.
The Information Fair will feature more than 70 valuable vendors, in hopes of connecting Washoe County’s elderly to vital programs and services in our community. Seniors will have the opportunity to learn more about retirement planning, insurance, healthcare, legal aid, and much more. The OAM Information Fair is being held at the National Automobile Museum while the Washoe County Senior Center is being remodeled.

HSA is collaborating with several government agencies and community partners to provide dozens of events for seniors throughout May, all in an effort to support this year’s theme: Flip the Script on Aging. Events include ice cream socials, computer classes, yoga, ways to avoid scam seminars, and a Senior Idol for our musically inclined. The general public can pick-up a copy of the Older Americans Month Program Booklet at Sparks City Hall, Reno City Hall, Incline Village Parks and Recreation, Sun Valley General Improvement District, and all Washoe County Libraries and senior centers. Box lunches will be available for seniors after the Information Fair.
Older Americans Month is possible, in part, by Regional Transportation Commission, Washoe County and the Cities of Reno and Sparks Senior Advisory Boards.
