Reno, Nev. May 1, 2023. The Washoe County Human Services Agency is asking the community to join us in celebrating May as Older Americans Month by kicking-off dozens of events this month with an Information Fair for seniors on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the Washoe County Senior Center. The Older Americans Month Information Fair will feature more than 50 vendors, in hopes of connecting Washoe County’s elderly to valuable programs and services in our community.
A special lunch will be served to seniors 60 and older for a suggested donation of $2. Individuals under the age of 60 may purchase a meal for $4.

When: Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Washoe County Human Services Agency Senior Services, Regional Transportation Commission, along with the cities of Reno and Sparks, are collaborating to offer dozens of events throughout Older Americans Month. View the Washoe County OAM website for more information and a complete list of events.
The general public can pick-up a copy of the Older Americans Month program at Sparks City Hall, Reno City Hall, Incline Village Parks and Recreation, Sun Valley General Improvement District, and all Washoe County Libraries and senior centers.
Additional events will be offered virtually throughout the month. The public can take part by watching those events on our Washoe County Television YouTube Channel.
Older Americans Month is made possible by Regional Transportation Commission, Washoe County and the Cities of Reno and Sparks Senior Advisory Boards.
