Join Washoe County Library System, in partnership with Nevada Humanities, to celebrate a community-wide read of the epic Pulitzer Prize winning novel by Adam Johnson, The Orphan Master’s Son.
According to Washoe County Library Director Jeff Scott, “This partnership and community-wide read program offers opportunities for people of all different backgrounds, economic levels and ages to sit down and discuss ideas that are important to them.”
This community-wide reading project supports community unity through the reading of literature. Scott continues “Washoe County Library System encourages our community members to connect and come together through the shared reading and discussion of a book. The community-wide reading program allows for that type of opportunity.”
Book discussions will take place in three parts at several library locations through September 14, 2017, culminating with the 4th Annual Nevada Humanities Literary Crawl on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 3 to 8 p.m. at venues throughout the Downtown Reno Arts Corridor.
