Washoe County Library honored with NCET’s Public Sector Innovation Award

Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology selected Washoe County Library as the 2024 Public Sector Innovation Award recipient. Washoe County Library’s recognition in this category symbolizes the library’s commitment to providing information technology solutions for a diverse population. 

In 2023, Washoe County Library launched services meant to aid new businesses. Young entrepreneurs used our grant-funded Zoom ROOMs to develop plans, collaborate with colleagues, and study for exams. They honed new skill sets using our specialized resources like Reference Solutions and LinkedIn Learning. 

Now in its 17th year, the NCET Dragonfly Energy Technology Awards celebrate the Northern Nevada individuals and companies who have greatly enhanced the growth and prestige of the technology community. 

The NCET Dragonfly Energy Technology Awards will be held on May 13 at 5 p.m. at the Reno Elks Lodge. Tickets and more information are available here.
