Washoe County Library celebrates teens during TeenTober

by | Oct 1, 2025

This October, Washoe County Library System is once again participating in the Young Adult Library Services Association’s annual TeenTober celebration. This month-long event strives to connect teens with services and materials provided by their local institutions that will help them develop new skills and fuel their passions. This year’s TeenTober events include crafts, games, and other activities designed for teen interests.

On Saturday, October 4, the library will team with the Holland Project, a local all-ages arts and music nonprofit, for a vintage cinema-themed art reception. The reception will celebrate Young Blood, the Holland Project’s group exhibition for artists under 21. The Young Blood reception will take place at the Holland Project gallery, 140 Vesta St., Reno. Festivities will kick off at 5:30 p.m. with music, hands-on activities, and refreshments. Entry is a suggested $1 donation. Visit hollandreno.org/youngblood for details.

Additionally, teens can get involved by visiting Washoe County Library System’s TeenTober web page. The page offers access to online resources, volunteer opportunities, and a calendar of events focused on art, culture, STEAM, and educational enrichment.
