The Northwest Reno Library grand reopening celebration, originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 16 at 3:00 p.m., has been postponed. The celebration and ribbon cutting have been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 23 at 3:00 p.m. We apologize for any inconvenience. The event will be hosted at the branch located at 2325 Robb Drive in Reno. Please join us for refreshments and a first look at the changes to this popular community hub. Members of the public are also welcome to attend the monthly meeting of the Washoe County Library Board of Trustees, which will immediately follow the event at 4:00 p.m.
The branch, which opened in 1999, has been updated with fresh paint and new flooring and furniture. New children’s materials and an improved floor plan are just a few of the exciting changes to be found throughout the building.
Funding for the renovation was provided by Washoe County in partnership with the Tacchino Trust. These improvements are part of an ongoing effort by Washoe County Library System to create welcoming spaces that benefit the community.
