Reno, NV–To foster better communication within the Library System and to facilitate improved service to the community, the Library Board has designated the following dates for ½ day In-service training for all Library Staff:

Following the meeting, most Washoe County Library locations will be open at 2:00 p.m. There are three exceptions: the Senior Center Library and Verdi Community Library will be closed the entire day, and the Duncan-Traner Library will open at its normal time of 3:00 p.m. The Library Board of Trustees approved this schedule change at their April 27, 2016 meeting.
“Scheduling face-to-face meetings on a quarterly basis allows time for staff to plan for things like upcoming programs and library technology upgrades,” says Library Director, Jeff Scott. “Limiting the meeting time to ½ days is purposeful in order to minimize library closure time.”
