Position Information: The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is recruiting for the Forensic Science Division Director who will be responsible for the entire scope of operations of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Forensic Science Division (WCSO-FSD).
This position is responsible for the planning, assigning, directing, and supervision of the activities of the forensic laboratory. The WCSO-FSD is accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) in both testing and calibration.
The Forensic Science Division Director is responsible for overseeing and maintaining ANAB accreditation requirements, preparing grant and budget proposals, administering the operating budget and approving expenditures; and representing the Sheriff’s Office and Forensic Science Division at meetings, conferences, and in the community. This position reports to the Chief Deputy at the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
