Annual Salary: $57,740.80 – $75,129.60

Position Information: Under immediate supervision, performs professional laboratory analysis of physical evidence in a general or specialized field of Criminalistics; and performs related work as required.
This is an Open Competitive / Countywide Promotional recruitment being conducted to fill a current Criminalist vacancy at the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office in the Forensic Crime Lab. This list will be used to fill future vacancies as they occur in any of the Criminalist areas of specialty as they occur.
This position is in a flexibly staffed class series. The hiring department has the discretion to hire at any level within the class series for which the applicant may be qualified. Applicants interested in being considered for each level within the series must submit an application for each position.
This recruitment uses a Training and Experience Exam (T&E) which is due at the time of application.
