Today the Board approved the creation of a Behavioral Health Administrator position, which will be responsible for the mapping and implementation of a regional system of care for Mental Health services in Washoe County. The position will work with county departments, community providers, and the State of Nevada to define gaps in service, develop strategies for securing facilities and programs, and develop a legislative plan for funding and duty-transition given mental health has been a State-led focus in Nevada.
