Washoe County sees 59 percent turnout before Election Day

Early voting ended in Washoe County on Friday evening, with an in-person turnout of 90,712 voters and just over 105,000 mail-in ballots totaling around 59 percent of registered voters.    Those who still plan to vote in person can do so on Election Day at one of the 55 Vote Centers around the county. Vote Centers open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m., and every voter in line by closing time will be allowed to vote.

Washoe County offices closed for Nevada Day

Most Washoe County offices will be closed Friday, October 25, in observance of Nevada Day, the celebration of statehood. County buildings that serve as vote centers will remain open for voting only.

Early Voting begins Saturday in Washoe County

Vote Centers around Washoe County will open at 10 a.m. Saturday, kicking off two weeks of Early Voting for the General Election. Mail-in ballots can be filled out and returned through the mail or dropped off at any of the county’s Vote Centers during Early Voting. Those who wish to vote in person can do so during Early Voting, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., October 19 through November 1 or on Election Day, November 5.

Washoe County property taxes due October 7, 2024

Washoe County Treasurer Justin Taylor reminds property owners that Monday, October 7, is the due date for the second installment of 2024/25 property taxes.  Payments will be accepted without penalty through Thursday, October 17, 2024.
