Washoe County Library System is proud to host the Great Basin Young Chautauqua. Now in its 25th season, Great Basin Young Chautauqua is an award-winning program in which young people learn how to research and develop original Chautauqua presentations. Young scholars, ages 8-18, select a historical figure and then spend four months researching and rehearsing their characters in preparation for performances in the community and at the Nevada Humanities Young Chautauqua Festival on June 11, 2017.
