NNPH Seeks Applicants for Air Pollution Control Hearing Board

Jan. 15, 2025. Reno/Sparks, Nev. – Northern Nevada Public Health – Air Quality Management Division (AQMD) needs individuals to join the Air Pollution Control Hearing Board (APCHB) and serve the community regarding air pollution matters. The Board hears appeals when a negotiated resolution to an air pollution complaint cannot be achieved.

The APCHB consists of seven members who are not employees of the state of Nevada or any of its political subdivisions. They are recommended by the AQMD and approved by the District Board of Health. One member of the board shall be an attorney, one member shall be a Nevada licensed Engineer, and one member shall be a Nevada licensed contractor.  The remaining members are At-large.

While the AQMD accepts applications throughout the year, in order to be considered for the positions described above, applications must be submitted by Feb. 7, 2025.
