On June 2, 2025, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office District Court Bailiffs responded to a report of a vehicle burglary that occurred earlier that day in the parking lot near the District Courthouse. The victim reported multiple items stolen from the vehicle, including credit and debit cards.
During the investigation, surveillance footage was reviewed, capturing a suspect in the area.
On June 3, WCSO Detectives joined the investigation. Detectives identified 42-year-old Karrell Morgan as the primary suspect. Due to Morgan’s history of felony arrests and violent behavior, H.E.R.O. and NNRIC Detectives assisted in locating him.
The suspect vehicle was located near Circus Circus. Through further investigation, detectives gathered corroborating evidence linking Morgan to the burglary. He was located nearby and taken into custody without incident.
