WCSO Detectives Seeking Information on Missing Child from New Orleans

Jun 5, 2024

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office continues to assist the New Orleans Police Department in an ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 5-year-old Eriel Mack-Mariscal, who was reported missing in 2021.

Eriel Mack-Mariscal was born in Reno, Nevada, in 2018 and relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana, with her guardian shortly thereafter.

In 2021, Mack-Mariscal was officially reported missing after an investigation revealed that her guardian and family members were unaware of her whereabouts. A missing person report was subsequently filed with the New Orleans Police Department’s 4th District, and she was listed with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office detectives have been actively assisting the New Orleans Police Department with this investigation and know that Mack-Mariscal has family ties to the Reno area.

In the last known photo (pictured) of Mack-Mariscal, she is approximately two years old and would now be five years old. She is a Caucasian female with brown hair and brown eyes and previously fractured her left upper arm.

Anyone with information regarding this case or Eriel Mack-Mariscal’s current location is asked to contact the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at (775) 328-3332 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
