WCSO Deputies Make Two Arrests

On August 19, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a 3-year-old child found wandering alone near Oakbrook Ct. and Oakbrook Ln. in Cold Springs. The child, who was wearing only one shoe and had no guardian present, was discovered by a concerned citizen.

The good Samaritan promptly notified the Sheriff’s Office and safely returned the child to their residence before deputies arrived. When deputies attempted to make contact with the child’s parents yesterday, they refused to answer the door. This morning, deputies contacted the child’s parents – Amber Luck, 36, and Jeremy Dalebout, 48 – both residents of Cold Springs.

After a thorough investigation, Luck was arrested on a charge of Child Abuse/Neglect and Dalebout was arrested on a charge of False Statements to Obstruct a Public Officer. The child is safe.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office asks the public to continue to be advocators and protectors of children in our community.
