Washoe County Sheriff’s Office warns of speed limit reduction in Incline Village

Apr 26, 2021

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is issuing a warning to drivers: starting Monday, May 3, 2021 there will be a speed limit reduction on Country Club Drive between Mount Rose Highway and Tahoe Boulevard from 35 miles per hour down to 25 miles per hour.

That stretch of residential road is commonly used as a shortcut for motorists wishing to bypass five more miles of roadway (driving further down Mount Rose Highway, through the roundabout, and turning east on Tahoe Boulevard).

The speed limit change is being implemented by Washoe County engineers and is in direct response to Incline Village residents’ requests.

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Incline Village Patrol Deputies will begin educating the public immediately, and they will start speed enforcement May 3rd.
