Washoe County Sheriff’s Office to hold informational recruitment event

Nov 10, 2020

Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam today announced his Office is looking for diverse Deputy Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff Recruit candidates to fill positions at the Sheriff’s Office.

“We are looking for recruits who want to answer the call of our community,” said Sheriff Balaam. “While it may be a trying time for the law enforcement profession, serving one’s community in this type of capacity is still, in my opinion, among the most honorable of professions. We are looking for Deputy Sheriffs who will build trusting relationships with community members and who want to make a difference in their neighborhoods. Together, I firmly believe we can find individuals who will represent every member of our Washoe County community.

“I look forward to seeing the women and men who sign up to help us build the future generation of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office. In order for us to move forward as an agency, we need you.”

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is the premier law enforcement agency in Northern Nevada, and is committed to providing the highest quality police service and protection to our residents and visitors of Washoe County.  Whether you are looking for a career for the first time, are changing careers, are POST certified and are looking for a lateral opportunity, or if you are returning from military service, we want to meet you.
