The Nevada State Fair returns to Northern Nevada June 11–13, 2026, at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center and Nevada State Fairgrounds, marking the return of the first official, state-sponsored fair in Nevada since 2010. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and event organizers are encouraging attendees to plan ahead and keep safety in mind while enjoying the event.
The 2026 Nevada State Fair will feature educational programming, the annual Nevada 4-H Expo, the Nevada Junior Livestock Show and Sale, entertainment, carnival rides, vendors, food, and family-friendly activities celebrating Nevada’s rich agricultural heritage.

Event Safety Information
• Security screenings, including wanding at entry gates, will be conducted for all attendees.
• A clear bag policy will be enforced.
• Please leave valuables at home and avoid leaving items visible inside vehicles.
• Firearms are prohibited and should not be brought to the event.
• Drones are prohibited at the Nevada State Fair. Unauthorized drone operations create safety concerns for attendees and event operations.
• There are no planned road closures or traffic modifications associated with the Nevada State Fair. Attendees should still anticipate increased traffic in the area during peak event hours.
Family Safety
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office CERT team will host a children’s wristband booth during the event. Parents and guardians are encouraged to utilize the wristbands to include emergency contact information in the event a child becomes separated from their group.
Additional safety reminders:
• Keep children close and establish a family meeting location ahead of time.
• Ensure minors know a parent or guardian’s phone number.
• Take a current photo of your child before attending large events.
