At approximately 8:00PM on Sunday, September 4, 2022, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team was alerted to a woman who had gone missing near Pyramid Lake. 34-year-old Cindy Matthews was last seen at 9:00AM on Sunday, September 4, 2022, on the west side of Pyramid Lake. Matthews is described as 5-foot-2-inches tall, weighing 180 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
