Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies, RNU, Detectives Make Arrest of Domestic Strangulation Suspect

On July 10, 2023, WCSO Deputies responded to a call of domestic battery by strangulation and prevention of victim from reporting the crime in the 5500 block of Sun Valley Boulevard.
The suspect, Damon Ramirez, fled the scene before Deputies arrived.
On August 15, 2023, WCSO Deputies contacted the victim and determined that Ramirez was inside a residence in the 5500 block of Sun Valley Boulevard.
WCSO Patrol Deputies, K9 Units and Detectives as well as members of the Regional Narcotics Unit (RNU) contacted Ramirez nearby the residence and took him into custody without incident.
Ramirez was arrested on the following charges:
– Domestic Battery by Strangulation
– Child Abuse or Neglect
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
– Manufacturing a Controlled Substance in the Presence of a Child
– Possession of a Dangerous Drug Without a Prescription
