The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a death that occurred on May 25, 2025, in the area of the dirt extension of Chimney Road in Sun Valley.
At approximately 1815 hours, Patrol deputies responded to a report of a deceased individual. The scene was secured, and Detectives responded to begin their investigation, which remains ongoing.
Anyone who was in the Chimney Road dirt extension area between 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM on May 25, 2025, and may have seen anything suspicious or has relevant information, is urged to contact the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Division at (775) 328-3320.
