On December 15, 2024, at approximately 3:50 a.m., Washoe County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to the 300 block of Loster Way in Sun Valley for a reported shooting.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they located an adult man with a gunshot wound. The man was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased.
Washoe County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating this as an isolated incident, and there is no outstanding threat to the public related to this case.
The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct its formal death investigation and release the decedent’s name following notification of next of kin.
